Brisbane
Day 1: Spent a good 1 week in Queensland Australia. On the flight, I enjoyed the stars and the bright moon.. gosh.. the moon is so glaring!
The plane touched down at Brisbane and off to Surfer's paradise we went! The day was suppose to be free and easy, ending with an evening with the glowworms at Springbrook National Park. But... we received a call from the agency that they had to postponed our tour to the next evening.. so well... the first day ended up as an short while at the beach and rotting our way through the evening walking around surfer's paradise.
Day 2:
This to me is one of the highlights of the trip. I love themeparks and yeah.. off to Movieworld! the place looks much bigger when I was a kid.. and after being to Universal Studios, Disneyland, I started comparing the parks.. gasp. not as great as I thought it was some 10-20 years back.. Anyway, interesting rides that caught my attention includes Superman! I loved the strong backward pull at the start of the ride, pushing the rollercoaster up into the skies and that's how the ride started. the rest of the ride was just full of ups and downs, adrenaline rushes.
The other ride that I really need to mention is Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster.. I'm a scardy cat.. Yes I am... at the start of the ride, from the name, I was worried that some spooks will come out and scare me.. but it all changed when it went into a "lift". and when it came out from the "lift", the chirpy version of scooby doo theme song was heard.. imagine scooby and shaggy running around.. but well, we're just in the coaster going around the room. and there were parts where there are sharp u turns.. it made me feel like the coaster is going to do a plunge to the ground.
We left the park at about 4pm as we need to catch a tour to visit the glowworms which was suppose to happen the night before. I didn't really know what to expect.. we were given torchlights and headed down to the natural bridge cave where there were plenty of glowworms there.. patches of them though... we were told that there were more in Summer. Along the way, we saw glowworms.. liked like yellow, green, but looked blue, purple too.. it just illuminates.. A pity that the moon was a bit too bright.. The moon kinda lit the path that we were on.
After the walk, back to the tour bus.. the bus stopped somewhere where we could see the stars and yeah.. the bright moon.. I still loved the stars.. the Orion belt is near the horizon since we were down under and not near the equator. We could see the southern stars too..
